The Benefits Wellness Solution Story
Ertel & Company began in 1995 as purely an insurance benefits solution company. Led by president and founder, Mike Ertel, the company realized the insurance market was lacking a key factor—health management for employees. Clients were struggling with high benefits costs due to high health risk employees that nearly debilitated the company’s success.
Seeking to provide his clients with a targeted solution to this problem, Ertel turned to his wife Amy, a medical doctor. Together, the two developed an innovative health benefits solutions to help clients better employees’ health, while bringing down the cost of their benefits. What they created was the Benefits Wellness Solution; an unprecedented idea that combines health insurance solutions with wellness management.

After opening his own business and more than 25 years later, Mike’s extensive track record of successfully partnering with and advising companies headquartered in Indiana allows him to provide best practice solutions for clients of Ertel & Company. -
About Amy Kiley Ertel, MD
With over 20 years experience as a physician providing preventive care and routine health services, Dr. Amy Kiley Ertel pursued her passion for health and fitness by joining Ertel & Company in September 2006. Dr. Ertel and her medical team work one-on-one with their partner clients and employees to implement highly effective cost savings solutions.
